We would love to see this, and we believe it is possible…
Ok, imagine for a second your church reaching fifty kids a week. Some of you are thinking “50, that’s a bit easy – why not be ambitious” others of you are thinking “50! Who do you think we are, how can we possibly cope!”
Well we think we have hit on something here in Liverpool… Schools are encouraged to provide after school clubs – known as ‘extended schools provision’. Most clubs have to charge to cover costs. Where we are alot of parents can’t afford to pay for an after school club, especially if the have several kids all wanting to go!
Kidz Klub can stand in the gap. We offer local primary schools a free, weekly after school club run by volunteers from the church.
We keep it simple and quite short (an hour, but when you take away arriving and collection only forty mins!)
- It’s short
- It’s effective (Silent Seats fits in nicely!)
- It’s cheap (especially compared to renting busses very week)
- It’s realistically achievable!
