Who are we?

WHAT WE DO…

Kidz Klub UK is a network resource for churches across the UK that have a heart to reach their community.

We don’t believe in reinventing the wheel, what we do believe is that by sharing our experience and resources we can give churches from across the UK, and the world, the tools they need to connect with their local community.

WHERE WE CAME FROM…

We started by trying to do just that. We are based in a deprived area of Liverpool. Seventeen years ago Nic and Jenny Harding, two of the leaders of Frontline Church moved from Bristol to Liverpool to plant the church. The level of deprivation that awaited them in the city was huge. They knew they had to do something for the children and their families; so Kidz Klub was born…

A weekly club that effectively and relevantly communicates the message of hope of the bible to children, combined with weekly home visits; was the formula that we discovered worked.

Liverpool was full of tensions at the time. A few years earlier the Toxteth area had been the centre of race riots even worse than those in Brixton, London. Even though the riots had ended, the tensions between people groups were still strong. The work of Kidz Klub working within and developing relationships with community across people groups resulted in genuine change. To the extent that Dave Sharples (know locally as Captain Dave) was asked to address the Conservative Party Conference in 2007 on the issue of ‘Fixing broken Britain’.
